Call priorities:

- Promote the transnational mobility of artists and professionals with a view to enabling them to cooperate internationally and to internationalise their careers;
- Strengthen audience development and improve access to European cultural and creative works with a particular focus on children, young people, people with disabilities and underrepresented groups;
- Improve capacity by developing new skills for cultural professionals and promoting innovative approaches to creation, new and innovative models of revenue, management and marketing for the cultural sectors, in particular as regards the digital shift;
- Contribute to the social integration of migrants and refugees by enhancing intercultural dialogue, promote shared EU values and mutual understanding and respect for other cultures;
- As a legacy to the European Year of Culture Heritage 2018, raise awareness of common history and values, and reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space.

 

The project leader and the minimum number of partners per category must be European cultural operators active in the cultural and creative sectors.

The project leader must have had a legal personality for at least 2 years on the date of the deadline for submission of applications and be able to demonstrate its existence as a legal person.
Natural persons may not apply for a grant.

 

Deadline for applications
Applications must be submitted to and received by the Executive Agency (EACEA) using the online application system and form (eForm) no later than 27 November 2019 at 17.00 CET/CEST (Brussels time).
No other method of submission of an application will be accepted.
Applicants shall ensure that all the documents requested and mentioned in the eForms are provided.

The general objective of this action is to give the opportunity to staff of sport organisations (athletes entourage) to improve their competences as well as qualifications and acquire new skills through learning mobility by spending a period of time in a foreign country (in and outside of the EU).

Learning mobility should be seen as an investment in human capital and a contribution to the capacity building of various sport organisations.

 

Opportunities for learning mobility in this context should be addressed to:

  • Coaches and other 'staff’ of sport organisations (including volunteers) – linked to professional sport;

This call is intended to provide a financial support to finance pilot Joint Action Plans (JAPs), i.e.
- a set of complementary actions which are carried out by at least two organisations under the responsibility of the beneficiary with the aim to address a challenge identified in the pilot JAP areas (see below)
- based on an intervention logic, providing a logical link between the development needs, objectives, outputs and results with milestones and targets, and (types of) projects envisaged
- with a reimbursement of costs on the basis of actually achieved outputs and/or results.

 

The mix of output and/or results indicators may differ between and within proposals. It is possible for some project costs to be proposed to be reimbursed primarily based on actually achieved outputs, and for others to be reimbursed primarily based on actually achieved results, or a combination of both.

 

Pilot JAP areas:
The pilot JAPs to be financed under the call shall aim
- to support the achievement of a Member State’s Country Specific Recommendations2 relevant to the investment priorities listed under Article 3 (a) to (c) of Regulation (EU) 1304/2013
- and/or to support the Commission’s policy initiatives relating to Long Term Unemployment, Youth Unemployment, Integration of Migrants and the Skills Agenda.

The overall objective of this call aims at supporting the creation, the improvement and the wider dissemination of support schemes for migrant entrepreneurs.

Starting from the identification of potential entrepreneurs among migrants and from raising the awareness within migrant communities about entrepreneurship, this action will focus on:

  • Training courses (e.g. on entrepreneurship, business planning, legal aspects of setting up a company and hiring employees, etc.);
  • Mentoring schemes for migrant entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs.

The objective of the above activities will be to help migrants to become self-employed and build a successful enterprise (profit-generating and/or with social objectives).

Priorities

 

  •  to encourage victims and witnesses to report violence against women and/or children to the relevant authorities and institutions, thus ensuring their access to the support they are entitled to receive, taking account of and signposting existing mechanisms such as child and women's helplines, women's refuges, interagency and multidisciplinary children's houses, etc.; and/or
  •  to develop and implement multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary cooperation (at national, regional or local level) that enables relevant professionals to effectively collaborate to prevent and respond to violence against women and/or children.

 

This call will fund the following activities:

  •  awareness-raising activities targeted at women and/or children who are victims or potential victims of violence, and/or at bystanders or witnesses, to encourage the reporting of violence. Awareness-raising activities targeted towards specific groups of women, children, bystanders and/or witnesses are particularly welcome.
  •  the exchange of best practices and development, testing and implementation of methods and practical tools (including protocols and guidelines) to enable the cooperation and coordination of professionals from different sectors (medical doctors, nurses and other health professionals, psychologists, lawyers, community workers, residential care givers, police, the judiciary, child helplines/violence against women helplines, victim support organisations, social workers, teachers at all levels of the education system etc.) who come into contact with women and/or children at risk of and/or victims of violence.

Terms of Reference for the 1st Call for Proposals for Urban Innovative Actions

Call for Proposals applicants can submit project proposals addressing the following topics:

  • Urban poverty (with a focus on deprived urban neighbourhoods)
  •  Integration of migrants and refugees
  • Energy transition
  • Jobs and skills in the local economy
The UIA payment scheme is mainly based on the principle of advance ERDF payment:
  •  A first ERDF advance payment corresponding to 50% of the ERDF grant is made to the Urban Authority on signature of the Subsidy Contract
  • A second ERDF advance payment corresponding to 30% of the ERDF grant is made to the Urban Authority after the submission and approval of an interim progress report which includes audited project expenditure
  • A third ERDF payment is made upon approval of the final progress report which also includes the audited project expenditure
  • A final ERDF payment is made to the project after the submission and approval of the final qualitative report

Call on refugee and migrant artists to submit their artwork about forced displacement of people due to wars and violence in the broadest sense. Artwork may focus on any dimension of migration experiences, including border crossings, settlement, new lives elsewhere, challenges, or hopes and dreams.

With this exhibition, we aim to foster humanitarian values, social inclusion and empathy in our societies.  Most importantly we want to provide an opportunity to look at migration experiences from the perspective of refugee and migrant artists. 

ARTISTS WITH A MIGRANT BACKGROUND INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN OUR EXHIBITION ARE REQUESTED TO SEND US THE FOLLOWING BY OCTOBER 30, 2019.

  • A short CV with information about your main exhibitions and a short bio.

  • A selection of a maximum of 10 artworks (this can include a combination of different art techniques, including photography) in digital format. Pictures taken of the artworks should have a DPI of at least 300. All submitted work must have been created by the artist after 2010.

Proposals should take stock of the long-term effects of migration at EU aggregate and cross-national level on economic growth and productivity, employment levels and wages, entrepreneurship, and fiscal and welfare impacts. They should analyse policies related to the integration of migrants, including refugees. Particular attention should be paid to gender and vulnerable groups such as unaccompanied children and stateless persons.

• help refugees socialise and express themselves without necessarily speaking immediately the host country language.

• give EU citizens the opportunity to discover, learn from and understand the values and cultures of refugees and - in the process rediscover and enrich their own.

• support the showcasing and co-creation of cultural and/or audiovisual works across Europe.

• offer the possibility of collaboration with organisations in other sectors in order to stimulate a more comprehensive, rapid, effective and long-term response to this global challenge.

The main objectives of this three year ENS project are to:  

1) Study the extent and impact of the arbitrary immigration detention of stateless people and those at risk of statelessness in Europe. It is important to note in this context that stateless persons may also be asylum seekers, failed asylum seekers or completely unrelated to the asylum system.

 2) Develop regional and country-specific tools to protect stateless persons and those at risk of statelessness from arbitrary detention in Europe.   

Remuneration and expenses
A research fee of GBP 3,000 for conducting the research and drafting (and if necessary translating) the country report and toolkit will be paid. In addition, a fee of GBP 800 will be paid for organizing and facilitating the country training workshop. Furthermore, research and publication expenses of up to GBP 600 will be covered for the country research, and GBP 600 will be provided to cover the costs of the country workshop. This the overall amount available is GBP 5,000.
