Call for proposal Enhanced implementation of the decent work agenda (fair and decent working conditions) with  aims of this call to finance projects at national and sector level with the objective to use bipartite and tripartite dialogue in the implementation of the decent work agenda.

 

The aim is to increase the number of employees and enterprises that have improved decent work arrangements. The programme will raise awareness of the benefits of decent work, e.g. work-life balance, gender equality and non-discrimination, attitudes on health and safety, knowledge about rights and obligations and the fight against undeclared work and social dumping (work-related crime). The programme will support enforcement of national regulations related to the decent work agenda, awareness-raising activities and training on decent work topics addressing e.g. social partner staff, company health and safety officers, and labour inspectors. In addition, cooperation between public authorities in the Beneficiary States and Norway, particularly between labour
inspection authorities, will be supported.

 

The maximum grant rate for a project is 90 percent.

 

Deadline: from Croatia, Lithuania and Poland due to COVID-19 has been postponed until Wednesday 3 June 2020, at 13.00 local time.

The priorities of this call for proposals are:

  • to address the stereotyping of educational and career choices and to promote gender equality in education, training and career guidance;
  • to attract women into male-dominated sectors or occupations, and conversely to attract men into female-dominated sectors or occupations;
  • to challenge stereotypical assumptions about the roles of women and men in the labour market, including in leadership positions, and to change behaviours and practices that hamper equality;
  • to ensure that work practices promote gender equality, and do not reinforce stereotypes, gender segregation and inequalities.

Specific objectives :

  1. Support to human rights defenders and organisations on the topics of: encouraging a culture of tolerance and inclusiveness, notably in relation to recommendations from UN and other regional bodies in particular the Universal Periodic Review 2016 of the Kingdom of Eswatini.
  2. Women participation in decision making and advocacy for legal reforms necessary to promote and defend women's rights
  3. Strengthening the capacity of citizens, civil society and the media to participate and develop public debates on human rights and gender equality issues.
