The aim of this call is to expand and strengthen the existing network of Intermediary Organisations (IOs) which act as local contact points for newly established entrepreneurs as well as experienced entrepreneurs in the participating countries. IOs will be selected to implement the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme at local level. They will, in particular, recruit and assist the entrepreneurs who will benefit from the programme.

Join the workshop 'Digital Skills and entrepreneurship in the Digital Revolution Era: from EU funding opportunities to job creation'. This workshop is part of the OPEN DAYS – European Week of Regions

The workshop will present best practices of regions utilizing public and private funding to implement successful ICT learning programmes (e.g. for young people, unemployed, career-changers). It will address the role of industry and the synergies that can be obtained in closer cooperation in view of the skills gap (also with respect to entrepreneurship), and the skills shortage that affects the industry and the economy. The workshop will bring together stakeholders playing a key role in activating digital skills funding, promoting stakeholder alliances and developing digital skills policies. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border mobility programme which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other Participating Countries. This call will therefore support actions for organisations enhancing and facilitating the mobility of new entrepreneurs, and is not intended for entrepreneurs willing to participate in the programme. New entrepreneurs willing to participate in the programme will be supported directly by the selected IOs. Deadline:3 June 2015 17.00 hours (Brussels time)

This pilot project aims at creating a Platform that will gather existing networks of young entrepreneurs active in the cultural and creative sectors in the EU and in third countries and that will facilitate the creation of new ones. The Platform will enable connections/exchanges between professionals from Europe and third countries and help a new generation of creative professionals to accelerate their professional development. The Platform would be sub-divided by sectors of activities and will include services such as coaching, peer-learning activities, conferences on specific topics, study visits and participation in match-making events with representatives of cultural and creative sectors around the world. To promote jobs and growth in Europe, social and micro-enterprises will soon have access to over 500 million euro of finance. This is the result of a new mandate agreement signed today between the European Commission and the European Investment Fund.
